The site we chose was cold and windy. Low-key I’m not sure any of us were comfortable or even wanted to be there other than to complete the mission. Taking pictures makes no sense in 20 knot gusts.
When we offered to take graduation photos, who knew the occasion would serve as a giant metaphor. At least in retrospect that’s how I think of the dissonance between our desire to push this guy into the real world, and the reluctance to give up our time with him.

I cannot wait to see how his life unfolds, what decisions he makes, and how he handles adversity. The handling of all these are milestones for maturity. No doubt he'll do well. But, it will be strange living as a spectator instead of a direct participant.
For the record, we succeeded. Yes that’s a veiled pun.
