I made these images in Louisiana about a year ago. At the time I had an idea in my head that was totally different from this color version. Since then, I relize they both appeal to me. Not sure why that’s important enough to say.

These trees have probably been in that salt marsh for longer than I've been alive, but I barely noticed them until last year. Even stopping to take pictures felt weird. Now I don't know why. Fear is often fickle and incomprehensible, but it still hurts.
