I’ve gotten into the habit of writing here with the intention of making some kind of statement, and it bothers me a little. Convention is the only reason any of this has any meaning, and we created that. And, we continue to fool ourselves into believing in its significance. I’m aware of all this, but still want to imply a meaning beyond the superficial.

Why? It is a question I ask myself every day, especially when I’m playing cards on the living room floor and feeling guilty for it.

That situation alone says it all. After all these years thinking about apathy and my low-key disconnections, there is still plenty to consider.

Or not, because it really doesn’t matter.
