When we looked at the life cycle in our 40s, we looked to old people for wisdom. At 80, though, we look at other 80-year-olds to see who got wise and who not. Lots of old people don't get wise, but you don't get wise unless you age.
Life is just one long damn routine. And why shouldn’t it be? Everything we imbue upon it is just a different story we tell ourselves, anyway.

About three years ago I realized how often I was revisiting old subjects here, and it bothered me a little. I'm not sure why I reacted that way because today it seems unavoidable. Returning gives me the opportunity to improve, anyway. Why did I think that was useless?
“Routine” is often considered boring, but is it really? We run every day and we love it. I enjoy the experience even when difficult ā hell, especially when it is.
Does that make me boring? or you a sheep?
