By the time I wrote this entry, our time at IGCA was already over. That means I’m still a few weeks late here. Seems like I’ve learned nothing.
My part in our post-show debrief was a low-key repetitive confessional of procrastination and slow planning. If I was more adept at considering a venue’s reality, maybe I would have changed my process and included reasonable events, like visiting the gallery before we hang. In the end it worked out great, but an engineering modeling process is unnecessary when I have real world access.
Participation is a nice primer for awareness. It forces me to focus, even if it means mindfulness of imperfections. I guess looking for traps is a good practice; She was quite polite with her warnings, so as always the interaction was pleasant.
