Growing up in south Louisiana made water familiar, but only the brown stuff. There nearly all of it comes from the river, which drags silt 1000 miles south. The seas look totally different. I always thought their clear, blue color was the reason for my love of open water, but my association to them is likely much deeper than that.
The heart of man is very much like the sea, it has its storms, it has its tides and in its depths it has its pearls too.
