Probably like everyone else, my creative evolution was in stages. First was discovery of its freedom, and fantasizing about wholesale lifestyle change; next came fatigue of realizing that reality; then I returned to actual life where engineering was the bread winner.
She and this project helped me persist. Maybe I over the years should have made more of an effort to diversify the outlets, but a steady job unrelated to those ends drove me to continue writing and taking pictures. I might do more in the future.
Anyway, the tools changed over time as I learned enough to make adequate imagery from a cell phone. But I still love my first giant, complicated Canon D90. Seward was the perfect reason to break that thing out.
And that was a good choice.
