In a previous life, I felt like I was on the right side of every conversation. The subject didn’t matter if I had an opinion.

Now, right or wrong is irrelevant to me. Today I just want to exist until I do not.

More important is consistency. I’d rather just be alive and with her than wonder what the next person thinks.

Until recently, being comfortable in life has not been one of my strong qualities. Yet, the more I let go and the emptier I feel, the better is existence. Petty fears from my past self still exist; hopefully the future will bring more complete peace. Until then, I acquiesce in the present.
