Sometimes this project is just an image journal. Well, here it is.
Before we moved to Washington, I'd never really had much experience with these slimy things. In the western part of that state their banana cousins are enormous, but here they are smaller and more profuse... and hungry. At the end of the summer we defend our gardens against them constantly, so we have quite a love/hate relationship.
