For years I’ve been telling her how much I cannot wait till this guy grows up to be a thinking person mature enough to talk about the music, philosophy, and life situations we now discuss only between us. In many ways he’s already there, but he still has a little more growth to do before complete disclosure.

Yet there are other perks I hadn’t anticipated — like his interest in the hobbies I pick up. It’s nice that he enjoys the manual nature of flinging arrows at a target, so who knows what else in the future we might find in common.
