When I was a kid my mom used to make gardens. In south Louisiana it was a cheap source of food. I reluctantly helped, but as a ten year old I wasn’t very interested. I mean it was fun to eat, but it was a lot of work.
I was a lazy young adult, (and I thought it was magic) so I didn’t bother learning about plants, horticulture, or gardening — it just seemed like the only way to succeed at it was to be old and know stuff. But who knew things would change so much over the years because now we can’t wait to start the outside growing process, and we shepherd so many plants inside that make this space beautiful.
