You can see his responsibility in his hands. They change constantly as he neglects them and repairs them, like an eleven year-old is prone to do. But he manages.
We give him a ton to do, and the lessons from the chores is only a side-effect. The fact is, we don’t want to look after him. And why should we, since he’s more than capable, even at his young age?
So we just watch his hands to gauge his progress. They’re doing fine.
